Prix de Thèse d'université de Strasbourg

We have an outrageous announcement: Stephan won the Prix de Thèse d’université de Strasbourg 2017! Congratulations!

He won it for his outstanding PhD Thesis with the title Complexes de platine (II) comme ossatures dans les assemblages supramoléculaires (Pt(II)-Complexes as Scaffolds in Supramolecular Assemblies).

DAAD Scholarship

We are happy to announce that our group member Amrutha won a one year scholarship funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD – Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst). DAAD is a funding organisation for the international exchange of students and researchers. Amrutha applied with her working title „Design, synthesis and evaluation of cucurbit[n]uril based chemosensors for analyte detection in aqueuos media“ and finally convinced the jury in an interview in India in January.

Additionally to her work promotion starting in October, Amrutha is granted the participation in a DAAD german course from June to the end of September at Carl Duisburg Centre in Munich.

YIN Award 2017

Frank won the YIN Award 2017, which is a support for young investigator groups at the KIT. Especially innovative and interdisciplinary ideas - in this case in collaboration with Manuel Tsotsalas (Helmholtz-Nachwuchsgruppenleiter (IFG)) - are promoted.

Webpage is online

We are happy to present our Research group now also on the world wide web.

Besides our presentation on the INT website, we will now use our own platform to demonstrate on what we are working, who are the members of the group, what are our measurement possibilities and who are our collaboration partners.

Enjoy your trip through our brand new website and do not hesitate to contact us.

Best regards,

The Biedermann Group

Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting 2017

Frank participated in the 67th Nobel Laureate meeting in Lindau and was selected as one of 30 poster- and flash-presenters (out of 300 applicants).
